God’s love welcomes every person, and at Newberrytown Church of God we joyfully open our doors to all whom He calls. Scripture tells us that every human being is created in the image of God, formed by His hands, known by His heart, and loved with everlasting love. “For the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him” (Romans 10:12). That means every age, every ethnicity, every background, every story — all are invited to come and experience the grace of Jesus Christ. We believe the church should look like the Kingdom: diverse, united, redeemed, and overflowing with love. Whether you are young or old, whether your family has lived in this community for generations or you’ve just arrived, whether you’ve walked with Christ for years or are only beginning to explore faith — you have a place with us.
God’s love doesn’t just welcome us; it transforms us. Through Jesus Christ, He gives us new life, a life washed clean, made whole, and filled with hope. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). And with that new life comes a calling — a purpose. God invites us to serve Him, to use our gifts, our time, our story, and our hands to make a difference in the world. Serving God isn’t a burden; it’s where meaning is found, where joy grows, and where our lives begin to reflect the love He has poured into us. At Newberrytown Church of God, we believe every person has a God given purpose, and we want to help you discover it.
We welcome children, teens, adults, and seniors because Scripture teaches that the body of Christ is made strong when every part is present and active. We embrace people of every ethnicity because heaven itself is filled with “a great multitude… from every nation, tribe, people, and language” (Revelation 7:9). We open our arms to those who are hurting, searching, hopeful, curious, or simply longing for a place to belong. Jesus never turned away those who came to Him, and we seek to follow His example with humility and joy.
